Rotoby has designed and is currently making a small VAWT wind turbine for domestic or urban use, with a blade made entirely of a thermoplastic material.
Our small wind turbine will combine all the desired characteristics and benefits of a thermoplastic material blade. The project, in fact, has been the result of some R&D work that eliminates certain manufacturing limitations of the fiberglass. It has allowed us to develop absolutely innovative shapes and profiles that have resulted in a blade never before seen on the market. Our turbine will be capable of generating more electricity in scheme of rotation because its shape captures more wind and starts generating electricity already at a very low wind force thanks to its light weight. The low cost will make it very profitable and - in combination with a photovoltaic system - will make it possible for small and medium size homes to generate electricity. Follow us for future news.
